Region Rover ActivitiesEach Rover Crew has their own individual program of activities - in addition to a range of major annual events run under the auspices of the Sydney North Region Rover Council (RRC). These can attract up to several hundred participants. Sometimes they are run by one Crew or sometimes by a committee from several Crews. Rovers from all Regions across NSW and interstate are always very welcome to attend.Interested in running one of the events below? Check the Rover Resources page for Region Rover Activities Guidelines and Region Rover Activities Hints & Tips. Summer MootUsually held on the last weekend in February every year. This traditional-style Moot is a weekend-long Rover camp where Crews take part in a program of competitive activities, with the winners receiving a trophy and the opportunity to run the event the following year. Each Moot has a theme, and there's dinner provided plus great night-time entertainment with plenty of time for socialising.Email for details to summermoot@sydneynorthscouts.com RoventureHeld on the third weekend in March every year. Roventure is like a traditional Moot, but the difference being Crews are encouraged to bring along all their "feeder" Venturer Units, camp together and compete as a combined team. The aim is to build stronger bonds between Rovers and Venturers, and to give Venturers an experience of one type of Rover activity.Email for details to roventure@sydneynorthscouts.com or visit sydneynorthscouts.com/roventure Rover DinnerHeld in April shortly after the RRC Annual General Meeting, this is a chance for everyone to gather at a centrally-located restaurant, get to know the newly elected RRC executive team and generally socialise with Rovers from other Crews.Email for details to roverdinner@sydneynorthscouts.com Service ProjectUsually held on the third weekend in May every year.
