A key activity of North Harbour Scout Water Base Fellowship is running the annual Sirius Cup Regatta at Balmoral Beach. This is the biggest Scout regatta on the State calendar and generally attracts up to almost 1,000 participants each year.
We also run a number of courses for youth and adult members in Sydney North Region in flatwater canoeing, kayaking, power boating and sailing. Our team run sailing fun days for those non-Sea Scout groups to jump in boat for a morning or an afternoon sailing. We have also been known to help with water activities at JOTA at Narrabeen, Ventout and a number of past Jamborees.
The Fellowship has a number of social activities including weekends away camping, sailing on Sydney Harbour and end of year Chinese banquet. We also have a bushwalking and kayaking arm which regularly goes out exploring.
Our membership is mostly made up of current Scout and Venturer Leaders who share a passion with engaging with today’s Scouts to provide quality training and more importantly hopefully have some fun at the same time. Even if you have no water activity skills or qualifications and are looking for a social outlet with other adults, then the North Harbour Scout Water Base Scout Fellowship could be for you.
Our meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at Dee Why Scout hall. For more information contact us via email.
