Remote First Aid Skills Day – SNRFA26-10

Summary:
A hands-on activity day covering the six Elements of Remote First Aid training courses:
1. Prepare equipment for first aid response in remote or isolated areas
2. Assess the situation
3. Manage casualty or casualties
4. Liaise with external services to manage casualty or casualties
5. Coordinate evacuation and first aid activities until assistance arrives
6. Debrief, document and evaluate the incident
This program was especially developed for Scouts & Venturers planning Adventurous Journeys, but it is open to all Members from Scouts upwards:
- Scouts, Venturers and Rovers
- Leaders seeking program ideas for their Section
- Adults with HLTAID013 or SISOFLD004 Remote First Aid certificates wishing to refresh their skills
This is non-accredited training provided by the Sydney North Region First Aid Team. It is delivered by experienced trainers, but does not provide a first aid certificate.
