Ku-ring-gai District Rogaining Challenge 2023

A morning navigation challenge at Manly Dam. Scouts will enter as a Patrol and complete the challenge together. The challenge will include planning and navigating the event to complete as many checkpoints as possible within an allocated time. If Patrol’s exceed their time limit, they will start to lose points. Maps plus electronic timekeeping and scoring are included. Patrols can go hard and try and clear the course within the time limit, or take a more measured approach and plan ahead to obtain the maximum amount of points within the timeframe. There is the much coveted trophy for the patrol that achieves the maximum amount of points in the minimum time period.
Leaders and adult helpers can form a patrol and register as well. Participant costs will be incurred.
Come prepared for an active morning – comfortable covered shoes, compass, hat and sunscreen, rain jacket, water and snacks for the morning. Each Patrol shall carry an emergency first aid kit, emergency whistle and a mobile phone.
Start time is 9:00am – plan to arrive a little early to gather as a patrol
