Cub Environment Activity Day – March 27th
2022-03-27 @ 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Ingleside Environment Centre is located within Ingleside Scout Camp, at the end of Bloodwood Rd via Tumburra Rd, Ingleside. The site, on the edge of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, is largely made up of native sandstone bushland including a freshwater creek and sandstone swamp. Many native species of living things are found here and over the years environmental education activities, aimed at all ages of Scouting, have been developed.
Environmental Activity Days aim to focus on activities and build environmental skills and knowledge, such as fieldwork and data collection, as well as giving back to the larger community through citizen science. Cub Scouts will be shown how to plan and design their own Special Interest Area (SIA) Project and do environmental activities such as Streamwatch and the Cub Scout Earth Tribe Champions for Nature Challenge.
Cub Scouts must bring a small backpack, your own food for the day, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, raincoat, jumper and shoes that can get wet. Please wear shorts and tee shirt and your Group scarf. The cost of this activity is $40. The closing date for registration, is Friday, 18th March 2022. The total number of Cub Scouts allowed to attend on this day is 50. There must be one Leader per 8 Cubs.
