“You don’t make friends with salad”

Kissing Point is a Crew with a huge range of interests both outdoors and indoors. Some of our members’ cross-country skiing addiction has spread throughout the Crew and you’ll find lots of us out in the back country each winter. Those who aren’t hitting the slopes may prefer to be tackling the cliffs, abseiling around Sydney’s northern suburbs and beaches, canyoning when the weather’s good, or caving. When we’re up for a quiet night we do indoor rockclimbing, amateur movie making, or just head to the nearest oval or beach with a frisbee or soccer ball.

No matter where we are, we always cook and eat great food, after all you can’t tackle mountains or the beach on an empty stomach! A spit roast accompanies many of our adventures.

With around a dozen enthusiastic members, we are able to attend all the major Rover events including Roventure, Moots and Dragon Skin. We’ve got a great mix of male and female members of all ages from 18 to 25.

Kissing Point Rovers aim to undertake a major travel event every few years. Previous exotic destinations have included backpacking around Thailand, remote camping on tropical Masthead Island in Queensland and a month tripping around Vietnam. Most recently, we did a three week trip to New Zealand in January 2019.
