SUMMARY:Region Personal Development Course for Cubs
DESCRIPTION:The Cub Scout personal development course offers interested Cub Scouts an opportunity to meet new people and develop their own communication\, teamwork and leadership skills.  \n\n\n\nThis course is designed for youth members who are aged 10 years old.  \n\n\n\nWe will be completing various activities which some might be done outside. Please come prepared to be outside\, potentially in the weather and bring a day pack with items you would need for the day which should include a hat\, snacks and water bottle. The youth members need to attend the full day to achieve their personal development badge.  \n\n\n\nLunch is included\, but if your youth member does get hungry please provide other food for them.  \n\n\n\nPlease note:  \n\n\n\n\nIf numbers exceed the nominal limit\, preference will be given to the older youth members and prospective peak award recipients. \n\n\n\n\n\nIf 4 or more youth members attend from the same scout group registered\, an adult leader will be asked to attend to assist the course facilitator. \n\n\n\n\nCost $25.00 per youth member ( which includes lunch)  \n\n\n\nStart time: 8:55am for 9am start  \n\n\n\nEnd time: 3pm  \n\n\n\nLocation: TBA   \n\n\n\nCourse limit to 36 youth members  \n\n\n\nOpening date for registration 13.10.25   \n\n\n\nClosing Date for registration 2.11.25 \n\n\n\nif you have any questions please direct them to Cassie.donald@nsw.scouts.com.au  \n\n\ninvalid event id provided.

DESCRIPTION:This is an adventure weekend of vertical canyoning. Attending this workshop provides training for Safe Participant\, Trained Participant\, Assistant Guide and Guide along with the ability for youth members to achieve you Stage 4 Caynoning OAS under Vertical (Youth Program). \n\n\n\nThe course is suitable for Venturers\, Rovers\, and Leaders. \n\n\n\nThe theory night is held at Barra Brui Scout Hall and includes a mix of theory presentations and practical components covering personal equipment\, rope skills\, abseiling in canyons\, walking skills\, environmental protection of canyons\, logistics\, risks and minor emergencies. \n\n\n\nThe theory night is shared between the November & December Canyoning events. DESCRIPTION:Monthly Rockcraft Skills workshop – open to anyone who has attended a TP/AG (Level 2) course\, or Guides maintaining currency. Current Qual not required. This is a self driven workshop where we will cover what you need to work on toward your quals\, or what you want to practise/review. \n\n\n\nA great way to build your skills towards guide (or your OAS levels). Rescue workshops are also one of the ways you can demonstrate your rescue currency which is required for all guides\, and especially if you are going through requal. If you are a current guide this is also a good way to stop your rescue skills getting rusty. \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring\n\n\n\n\nA Head Torch\n\n\n\nYour Personal Abseil Gear (It is assumed you have your own gear\, if you do not please specify on Scout Event at least 24 hours beforehand)\n\n\n\n\nPlease let me know if you have any topics you specifically want to cover. \n\n\n\nThis year we are asking that all participants register on Scout Event. \n\n\ninvalid event id provided.
