DESCRIPTION:The North Harbour Scout Water Base (NHSWB) team will run 2 sessions of canoeing instruction and paddling activity specifically for Joey Scouts. \n\n\n\nEach joey MUST be accompanied by an adult parent/carer (1 per family sufficient) to be present for entire session and 1 adult (booked as leader or adult helper) will be required to accompany 2 Joeys in each canoe. \n\n\n\nThere will be 2 sessions on the day\, with a maximum 24 joeys each. There is also a minimum 12 joeys required for each session. If insufficient number of joeys register for any session\, that session will be cancelled. Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. \n\n\n\nThe paddling skills program will run for about 2 hours\, including 1 hour on the water. This will enable youth members to be signed off on most\, if not all\, items required for OAS Paddling Skills – Stage 1.
