DESCRIPTION:If you want to build on your skills and work towards being able to take other people out abseiling then this is the workshop for you. Learn how to set up abseils\, rig for rescue and get yourself or others out of difficulty. This course aims to get you through the Trained Participant and Assistant Guide levels of the VET qualifications and can also be used to gain OAS qualifications. \n\n\n\nThe course is suitable for Venturers\, Rovers\, and Leaders. \n\n\n\nThe theory night is held at Barra Brui Scout Hall and includes a mix of theory presentations and practical components. There are two theory nights and a practical weekend. \n\n\n\nThe theory night(s) registration is combined with the practical day for the same course number\, you do not need to register separately. \n\n\n\nThe course involves significant homework and pre-reading. \n\n\n\n				Registrations for this event open on: 2026-05-01 00:00:00.\n				\n				Registrations closes by:  2026-08-04 00:00:00
