We aim to also assist participants with the RPL of their Trained Participant Core. \n\n\n\nIt is expected that participants assist on a couple of Safe Participant Courses\, and attend followup workshops to fully achieve competency at a VET standard. \n\n\n\nRepeat Participation in the course is free. \n\n\n\nCourse Structure\n\n\n\nThe two theory nights are held at Barra Brui Scout Hall and includes a mix of theory presentations and practical components. These introduce you to the skills that you will then practise at an in hall practical day at Barra Brui\, followed by on Cliff Practical at Lindfield Rocks. \n\n\n\nThis is not an overnight course. \n\n\n\nThe practical days run from 8am to 5pm. \n\n\n\nParticipants should be prepared to do a bit of pre-reading and “homework” between theory sessions and before the practical to get the most out of the course (although you can still succeed without that). \n\n\n\nAssumed Knowledge\n\n\n\nThe course is suitable for Venturers\, Rovers\, and Leaders. \n\n\n\nThe course assumes completion of OAS Stage 4 or equivlant knowledge (at least 10 abseils accross two ocassions\, ability to prussik\, ability to operate a top belay).
