SUMMARY:Express Abseil Rigging & Rescue Course - Residential Weekend (Tenative)
DESCRIPTION:We’re looking at running this course but location hasn’t been confirmed yet. Watch this space. Registrations will open once the date is confirmed. \n\n\n\nThis is an express version of our normal Rigging & Rescue course which will consist of an online theory night. Significant pre-reading\, and an intensive weekend. The training sessions will start on the Friday evening. \n\n\n\nIf you want to build on your skills and work towards being able to take other people out abseiling then this is the workshop for you. Learn how to set up abseils\, rig for rescue and get yourself or others out of difficulty. This course aims to get you through the Trained Participant and Assistant Guide levels of the VET qualifications and can also be used to gain OAS qualifications. \n\n\n\nThe course is suitable for Venturers\, Rovers\, and Leaders. \n\n\n\nThe theory night is held at Barra Brui Scout Hall and includes a mix of theory presentations and practical components. DESCRIPTION:Monthly Rockcraft Skills workshop – open to anyone who has attended a TP/AG (Level 2) course\, or Guides maintaining currency. Current Qual not required. This is a self driven workshop where we will cover what you need to work on toward your quals\, or what you want to practise/review. \n\n\n\nA great way to build your skills towards guide (or your OAS levels). Rescue workshops are also one of the ways you can demonstrate your rescue currency which is required for all guides\, and especially if you are going through requal.
