Senior First Aid Courses

This is the entry level course for adults and youth over 14. It leads to the nationally approved 'HLTFA301B - Apply First Aid' qualification, current for three years.

This two-day course is normally run over a weekend from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm both days, but for those who are not available on Saturdays, there is one course scheduled over two consecutive Sundays in August, and there is also a 5 week evening course scheduled to start on Thursday 29 May. Other options may be available if there is sufficient interest. If you have the numbers of like-minded individuals to make a course viable, please contact us with your proposal.

As noted on the First Aid page, those interested in gaining a CPR qualification, or just wanting to refresh their skills in CPR, can attend the first quarter of a Senior First Aid course - generally between the start of the course and lunch time in the first day, for the qualification 'HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR', or attend the first half - generally the first whole day - of a Senior First Aid course to gain the Emergency First Aid qualification, 'HLTFA201A - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support'.

There are no more courses or events in 2010 and dates for 2011 have not yet been announced.

Senior Recertification

These courses are for those with some confidence in their first aid and wish to update their knowledge and skills in first aid with the latest developments. This is a nationally approved course leading to the 'HLTFA301B - Apply First Aid' qualification, current for a further three years.

Prerequisites

Current Senior First Aid or higher qualification at the time of the recertification course.
